About Linda

Meet Linda

Award-winning author Linda Joyce writes contemporary romance, women’s fiction, and she’s also working on a cozy mystery series. Her short stories appear in multiple anthologies, most of which are charity fundraisers.

Linda dabbles in poetry and has published several poems, including one featured with the Smithsonian’s traveling exhibit: New Harmonies: Celebrating American Roots Music in Kansas City, Missouri.

Her most daring exploit was learning to fly a small plane. Now, her piloting is reserved for ziplines. Her newest outdoor hobby is sporting clays.

Everyone has weaknesses and Linda’s are Cajun food and sushi. She enjoys her organic garden, but hates bugs. The reward for enduring the pests is the ability to cook with fruit and vegetables she harvests.

Linda is passionate about words and books. In addition to being an author, she served as Vice President for Whispering Prairie Press, a nonprofit that produces Kansas City Voices literary magazine. And she also served as the magazine’s Creative Director. She’s served as a volunteer in several writing organizations. When she’s not writing, she’s editing manuscripts for other authors.

A business graduate from the University of Florida, Linda married her college sweetheart, and together they are dog parents for Jake, Max, and Sugar. She and her husband travel with the pups in their RV, often to attend field trials. Linda has served as the corporate secretary for a regional, nonprofit UKC pointing dog club. She’s also been a contributing writer to a national dog-rescue’s newsletter and magazine.

While Linda considers New Orleans her hometown, she’s lived many different places in the United States and in Japan. She’s working on improving her conversational Japanese. She knows the traditional Japanese writing of Hiragana, Katakana, and is learning more Kanji. She enjoys discovering the uniqueness of every new town she visits—in the US and overseas.

She’s a member of RWA and Lowcountry RWA. She always looks forward to meeting readers and learning about their book passions.
