Bayou Bound

Fleur de Lis Series – Book 2

A RONE Award Finalist

1st Place — Past Presidents’ Romance Award by Southeastern Writers Association

Biloxi Dutrey grounds her jet-setting photography career when she learns her family home is headed for financial ruin. She plans to save Fleu de Lis, which means breaking tradition. But her family isn’t cooperating.

Nick Trahan is the new veterinarian in town and wishes folks would stop their matchmaking. He’s never swayed by just a pretty face. He wants a woman who believes in family and commitment forever—the exact opposite of his parents.

Nick rescues Biloxi during a raging storm, but soon that squall is tame compared to the tempest between them—a long-standing family feud. If Biloxi tows the line with tradition, will she also be forced to give up on true love? Can Nick possibly break the cycle of hate their families still harbor?

Praise for Bayou Bound

BAYOU BOUND received First Place in Romance from the Southeastern Writers Association in 2011

“Linda Joyce’s writing will transport you to the deep south where life is just a bit slower and women are a unique mixture of strength and gentleness”.
~ Jo Ann Reinhold, Jo’s World of Books

“A raging storm has nothing on the steamy and fierce passion of Nick and Biloxi. Linda Joyce is the new author to watch!”
~Kathy L Wheeler, author of The Color of Betrayal

“As if the bayou needed more heat and steam! Step aside, Shakespeare. Linda Joyce adds southern charm, and a much happier ending, to this modern day Romeo and Juliet.”
~Claire Croxton, author of Santorini Sunset

What My Readers Are Saying

I loved this book! It was so Southern from feeling the heat & humidity, the taste of the food and even, the perfect Southern manners. Linda did a terrific time of making you feel right there with her characters and appreciating their Southern humor! Branna was a Southern Lady who developed a backbone she didn’t know she had and how great it was to have fun and even, get “Steamy”.

I was honestly surprised at how great this story was. There was great character development and the story moved along smoothly. I found myself getting attached to the characters, which for me, is a sign I’m reading something good. Another sign? Being completely disappointed when it ends. Cannot wait for book two, will definitely keep an eye out for it!! Highly recommend, I couldn’t read it fast enough.

Admittedly, I do not read many romances. However, once I began reading Bayou Born, I was so drawn into the story of Branna that I couldn’t put it down. Linda Joyce’s descriptive prose put me right in the middle of the south and its customs. The best part of all is, I get to look forward to other books in the series.
