This is my bottle tree. Southern lore says bottles entice evil spirits inside, then traps them. When the sun comes up, the evil spirits are destroyed by sunlight…sounds like vampires, right?

I’ve not encountered an evil spirit in the spirit form since I moved here. Maybe it’s because I have a fairy house in the yard, too. I think the fairies have stronger power and protect us.

Though I don’t want evil spirits, I do want to connect with you. I enjoy finding connection, common ground, likes we have in common. Despite all the bad press, I believe most people are fundamentally good.

There many things in the works this year for me as an author, and also for my company, Word Works Press, LLC, and for Four Writers Enterprises, LLC. Growth is exciting and with it comes new possibilities and challenges disguised as blessings. All to say–stay tuned!
