Ana,
Are you a pumpkin lover? Are a pumpkin spice fanatic? lol, just curious.
Smiles,
Linda
I Don’t really do anything different in October. Of course I do everything pumpkin spice flavored. I adore Fall. It’s my favorite season. So many holidays to look forward to with family and friends. Cooler weather, beautiful leaves and of course that Carolina blue sky.
Joann,
Yes, I agree. Fall is so beautiful in the Carolinas. I’ll be headed that way on 10/31.
Smiles,
Linda
I love fall but the weather this year is changing too fast. I have had my heat on for 2 weeks already. I am not a fan of the cold anymore. Guess I am getting old. I don’t change out Summer and Winter clothing because living in Pa means you never know when you are going to need something with long sleeves. lol
As for food I don’t do anything because its just me and my grandson and I can’t get that young man to try anything different. Growing up we always had Sunday dinner and deserts. My favorites are Pumpkin Pie and Shoo Fly Pie ” better known as Molasses Crumb pie” . See there you’ve gone and made me hungry. Good Luck everyone.
Sharon,
I haven’t been to PA in the summer in many years. For some reason, I only get there when it’s COLD. Do we need to make a Snow Bird out of you and get you down south for the winter?
Smiles,
Linda Joyce
I like the Fall season because we don’t have anymore triple digit temperatures here in the Arizona exert. yeah
I like the many holidays when I get to see friends and family I don’t usually see during the rest of the year.
Joye,
I’ve not been to Arizona in the summer, but to Las Vegas… HOT HOT HOT. I can understand you enjoying the cooler temperatures, but it does get cold there, too, right?
Smiles,
Linda

It’s finally fall in Northeastern Kentucky, I needed an ice scrapper for my windshield this morning. Thanks for the fabulous giveaway.
Charlotte,
An ice scrapper? WOW! But I guess you caught part of that storm barreling down from the northeast.
Smiles,
Linda Joyce
The main thing I love about Fall is the cooler weather! It’s been so hot this summer well into Oct. I don’t change out my clothes with the seasons, because in Miss. you never know if it will hot or cold! I just get out a few 3/4 length sleeve shirts to wear and a sweater. Thank for these awesome giveaways.
Martha,
Mississippi can be so wonderful in fall. It makes me crave seafood gumbo.
Smiles,
Linda Joyce
Fall just means a little cooler weather… might need a sweater. Not much else changes here in Southern California in the Fall.
Jackie,
I’ve been to San Diego in October…it was a while ago, right after 9/11. I have been to Half Moon Bay and San Francisco not that many years back. California is such a diverse landscape from north to south.
Smiles,
Linda Joyce
I look forward to pumpkin picking in October and decorating my front porch. Thanks for the chance to win this.
Paula,
Pumpkin picking, like in a field or at a lot where the pumpkins are already picked? I love to decorate the front porch for fall…but it seems I’m rarely home when the temperatures cool down so it doesn’t get done anymore.
Smiles,
Linda Joyce
Fall means getting to wear my sweaters again and enjoying baking and cooking in the kitchen where I am grateful for the added warmth from the oven. Apple picking, beautiful fall colors, what’s not to like?
Mary McCoy,
“What’s not to like?” is exactly my thought. Its such a warm, embracing, calm season.
Smiles,
Linda
Thank you for the fabulous giveaways!
October is my birthday month. In our family, you get to celebrate your birthday until someone has the next one. Now that it’s just hubby and I and our birthday are exactly 6 months apart, we each get 6 months. 🙂 Let the good times roll!
Other than my birthday, I enjoy the arrival of cooler weather, things slowing down after a summer of traveling and adventures at home and for the foods we associate with fall like apples fresh from the orchard, Halloween candy (that as a kid was things you could only get at Halloween so we really looked forward to it) and checking out the fireplaces and getting them ready. Although I miss getting to sit out on our porch where we can view the wildlife critters and enjoy the Ozark Mountain views, I do so love sitting in front of one of our two fireplaces with a mug of hot spiced apple cider or hot cocoa and reading the great books on my TBR list when it gets too cold to be outside for this sissy with more aches and pains than carter does little pills (and if you understand that you might be as old as me). October is hunting season for some (and we have done our share of it when the need for meat came from the wild instead of the store), but now we enjoy sitting at the dining room table and watching the deer, fox, and bobcat come to the feeders and water bath in the yard for some refreshment and shooting them with a camera .
Kay,
What a WONDERFUL Birthday tradition. More people need to adopt that!
We hunt. We have two bird dogs: Max and Jake. We eat what we shoot, well, we eat what hubby shoots because otherwise there’d be no birds. I can hit a stationary target, but something moving…nope!
And I grew up on the “Carter’s Liver Pills” saying. LOL
Hugs,
Linda Joyce
Great giveaways. I have already read the Fleur de Lis series and to those who haven’t read them yet, what are you waiting for. Christmas? lol Seriously they are wonderful stories and you will love them. The Kindle Fire is a great gift and something I don’t have but we will see who the lucky winner turns out to be. Oh yeah the book Journal looks like a great gift also. Good luck everyone. <3
