I loved a series of books written by Jennifer Chiaverini called The Elm Creek Quilters and Elm Creek was the small town near the estate that was the setting for the women who went to the quilt camps.

There are so many but I will choose Fools Gold.

    • Linda Joyce

      Lori,

I’m assuming Fools Gold is a book, right? What would be the fictional setting?

Brigadoon is the name of a fictional and magical town in the Highlands of Scotland in the book and movie Brigadoon by Alan J Lerner. The songs in the musical were part of our performance in high school Glee Club.

    • Linda Joyce

      Sunnymay,

How cool that you got to do Brigadoon. Saw the movie on the Turner Classics years ago.

My favorite place has to be the attic of the Marches House is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I longed to be a part of the fantastic plays and just knew that Jo March and I would have been the best of friends!

    • Linda Joyce

      Shelby,

What a great answer! Because I moved around a lot as a kid, books were my friends. Little Women was the first “grown up” book I received and I still have it to this day. It’s been in Japan, New Jersey, Florida–many cities, Kansas, and Georgia. 🙂

      Smiles,
      Linda Joyce
